Role Overview

As an Entry-Level Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will play a critical role in transforming raw materials into high-precision components using a mix of manual craftsmanship and advanced technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Assembly: Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials to exact specifications using hand tools and power equipment such as shears and press brakes.
• Joining Materials: Accurately join components using a variety of methods including welding, riveting, bolting, and soldering.
• Precision Layout: Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and diagrams to plan fabrication sequences accurately.
• ERP Documentation: Use the Epicor ERP system to log work orders, track material usage, and document production progress.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for flaws or defects to ensure they meet stringent aerospace and defense standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus is required to ensure fine tolerances and high-fit finishes in a prototype environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot alignment issues and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced "job shop" atmosphere.
• Dexterity & Stamina: Physical ability to handle metal materials (often 40+ lbs), stand for long shifts, and perform precise manual tasks.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
• Tech Savvy: Basic computer proficiency to interface with manufacturing software and digital work instructions.
