Position: EV Home Installation Technician
Location: Remote - Training onsite. Then 1/3 in the lab, 1/3 in office, 1/3 in field - could be more in the field depending on the customer need.
Travel: 50 - 75% - overnight as needed
Purpose:
The EV Home Installation Technician provides in home troubleshooting of the functionality, installation and commissioning of EV home charging stations. This is a new position within the team.
Training:
A high degree of training onsite with the hardware and with software engineers. Upon completion of training work on local projects until independent. (Variable and subjective to the technicians.)
Typical Day:
Daily team meeting to provided technical support and if the need to travel to a customer is needed.
Weekly meetings with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills:
Electrical and electronics experience
Knowledge of installation and electrical codes
Soft Skills:
High degree of emotional intelligence.
Education:
Electrical Journeyman
Electrician
