Number of Openings: 3

Shift: 1^st – 7am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday. Estimating 10 hours OT/week

Travel: After training, multiple trips a year. Each trip could be 5 – 10 days at a time for repairing wiring, replace thermal couples (provide data from the vehicle), replacing components and supporting engineers

Trip location – location varies, out West in the mountains (Colorado, Arizona, California, Nevada)

Environment: Garage

Gas vehicle repair technician performs all aspects of mechanical repairs to include welding and fabrication work. Capable of electrical diagnoses and wiring repairs. Reading and interpretation of schematics. Extensive written and verbal communication skills, computer skills with ability to utilize Microsoft products. Capable of working within a team environment.

Daily Breakdown:

Assigned a work order from the Lead Development Engineer. Work on the issue until it is complete. Record data, report the data and findings
Work on Emissions for the government
Prep vehicles for emissions testing and data collection
Upfitting of electrical components in vehicles
Put computer stacks, wiring, emissions probes, temperature checks in the vehicles
Fabrication of the exhaust systems
Might set the whole vehicle up if something isn’t working and find and fix the issue(s).
Friday’s is an engineering meeting to go over findings.

Requirements

Mechanical ability – Working on vehicles; dealership, independent shops, doing interior work, suspension work.
Soft Skills:time management, organizational skills, good teamwork attitude, show up on time and complete tasks with efficiency.
Proactive – not waiting for work to be assigned, but ask for a new assignment when the job is complete.
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
High School Diploma or GED
Must have a good driving record!This position involves driving corporate vehicles.
