Aerospace Materials Manager
RCO Aerospace has an opening for a Materials Analyst at our Roseville location. Since 2008, RCO Aerospace has produced luxury aircraft seats. The Aerospace Materials Analyst is inventory focused while creating value through analysis and supplier relationships.
Day in the life:
- Overall inventory management
- Learning the MRP side (Epicor) and pushing inventory out and pulling inventory in from our suppliers.
- Work to structure multiple suppliers and maintain relationships
- Production scheduling
Duties:
- Analyze material supply chains to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Internal and external customers and suppliers
- Develop and maintain material requirement planning systems (MRP)
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely material acquisition
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment – creating inventory obsolescence reports.
- Prepare detailed reports on material status and performance metrics
- Cycle counting and verify inventory accuracy
- Forecast future material needs based on production schedules
- Planning outside service POs
- Evaluate supplier performance and suggest improvements
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements concerning materials
- Work with production to minimize downtime caused by material shortages
- Develop strategies to reduce material costs without compromising quality
- Implement best practices for inventory management
- Conduct root cause analysis for material-related issues
- Coordinate disposal of obsolete or surplus materials
Requirements:
- Good troubleshooting skills and manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated customer interaction skills and teamwork competencies.
- Hands on MRP/ERP systems experience. Epicor ERP a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Materials Management
- 3+ years of experience.
