IT Technician
Onsite - no hybrid
The IT Technician is part of a team responsible for supporting approximately 600 plus Windows users, PC’s, and printers. The IT Technician is within the support organization, providing day-to-day user support, after hours on call rotations, computer hardware and software support, network support, etc.
Duties:
- Serve as first contact for all end user hardware/software issues, etc.
- Offering technical support on-site or via phone, remote assistance software or email.
- Answer support requests through online help desk ticketing software.
- Create and deploy PC images to support various computer hardware and departments.
- Install new PCs and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot end user connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on end user computers.
- Maintain software and hardware inventory lists.
- Work with third party vendors on equipment warranty repairs and returns.
- Assist with server software and hardware issues.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent practical work experience.
- 3+ Years of experience in Windows operating systems (7,10,11).
- 2+ Years of experience in PC hardware support.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical individuals.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated customer interaction skills and teamwork competencies.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
