Job Overview: 

RCO Engineering, Inc. has an immediate opening for a skilled and detail-oriented Trumpf 5-Axis Laser Operator / with experience using TruTops software to join our sheet metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, program changes adjustments and operation of Trumpf 5-axis laser machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering specifications.

 

Day in the Life:

• Set up and operate Trumpf 5-axis laser cutting machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Modify laser programs using TruTops
• Ensure parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments to improve efficiency and output.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to resolve any part discrepancies.
• Any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements: 

• 2+ years of experience operating Trumpf 5-axis laser systems.
• Proficiency with TruTops software
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting techniques, and machine capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
• Be willing to learn our Epicor system.
